CRUISE IN THE BVI - BRITISH VERGIN ISLANDS7 nights / 8 days
Day 1: Saturday
Welcome at 18h00 in Marina Fort Louis located in the heart of Marigot, just a 15mn ride from Princess Juliana International airport and 20mn from “Esperance”, the regional airport. Remember to get US dollars before boarding. There are exchange offices close to the marina. Welcome cocktail, briefing on the cruise, settle into your cabin. Dinner on board and night sailing (about 12 hours) to the British Virgin Islands. Day 2: Sunday (+/- 3 hours sailing) When you wake up, the BVI will be in sight and you’ll arrive at Virgin Gorda. Breakfast and short sailing to a mythical place in the BVI: The Baths, in the very south of Virgin Gorda. The Baths is a must: a huge area of round and polished rocks planted in white sand, caves and natural pools creating an unreal and magnificent landscape. In Devil's Bay, you will be able to visit the little souvenir shops. After lunch, departure to reach Norman Island in about two hours. Dinner and night on board at anchor in The Bight. Day 3: Monday (+/- 3 hours sailing) After breakfast, short sailing to reach the wonderful snorkelling sport of The Caves in Norman Island; and its incredible underwater world. Then we’ll sail to Jost Van Dyke, and its idyllic beaches. We’ll moor in front of the gorgeous beach of White Bay. Water activities, swimming and snorkelling. Late afternoon, you’ll change scenery to discover the next Great Harbour bay, where we’ll moor for diner and night on board at the anchor. The guests who feel like it are welcome to meet at Foxy’s bar. Day 4: Tuesday (+/- 3 hours sailing) Departure at 8h00 for 20 minutes of sailing towards Sandy Cay, a small island fringed with coconut trees and surrounded by white sand, or, depending on the wind direction, to Sandy Split: a dream island that you will enjoy in the morning, swimming and beachcombing. After lunch, departure to Cane Garden Bay. Dinner and night on board at anchor. Day 5: Wednesday Breakfast in Cane Garden Bay. In the morning, departure to Anegada Island*. Unlike the other Virgin Islands, Anegada is a coral atoll 19km long and less than 5 km wide, with a culminating point at 8 meters. The arrival in Pomato Bay offers a idyllic scenery with its spectacular white sandy beach. The coral barriers of Horse Shoe Reef and Anegada Reef host varied and plentiful fauna and flora: snorkelling and swimming in the crystal clear water of the lagoon. At the end of the day we’ll reach Setting point mooring. *In case of bad meteorological conditions, Anegada will be replaced by Cooper Island and its beautiful snorkelling spot of Cistern Point. Day 6: Thursday After breakfast, early departure to Virgin Gorda Sound and Liverick Bay. Lunch in Prickly Pear. Snorkelling and last swim in the Virgin Islands before crossing back to St Martin, that always take a little longer than the other way. Day 7: Friday Arrival in St-Martin at Grand-Case. Breakfast and route to the Natural Reserve of Tintamarre Island. Beautiful snorkelling with turtles that can be frequently met in the bay. Lunch on board, swimming and beachcombing before going back at the end of the day the the creole village of Grand Case. Grand-Case is a small town in the French side of St. Martin. Thanks to its numerous and quality restaurants, this village is the capital city of French West Indies gastronomy. Dinner and night on board. Day 8: Saturday Breakfast and disembarkation at 09h00 in Marina Fort Louis, in the heart of Marigot. |
